Meet The Financial Mentoring Team

We’re so pleased to meet you and we’d love to introduce you to our friendly financial mentoring team. Just so you know; all Financial Mentors go through an intensive 12 module training programme to become mentors; once that is completed, they have at least 12 months supervision before becoming fully qualified.

This is great news for you, because you can trust that our financial mentoring team are well versed in assisting you reach your personal financial goals. We literally have the skills so you can pay your bills.

Meet Heather

Coordinator/Financial Mentor

Hi, I’m Heather and I have been a fully qualified Financial Mentor since 2010 and a Debt Repayment Order Supervisor since 2015. It’s fair to say I have a wide range of experience in helping you reach your own unique goals and financial outcomes. I’m also a qualified accountant and have spent 18 years as an auditor, as well as many years in senior finance positions in the public sector.

Favourite part of being a Financial Mentor?

The way people react when they can see light at the end of the tunnel and understand what can be achieved with good budget planning and a debt repayment plan. It really boosts personal morale and confidence so it’s hugely rewarding.

Hi there, I’m John and I’m pleased to let you know my particular strengths lie in negotiation and advocacy with creditors. With this as my main focus it allows me to assist people in the art of effective communication and planning when it comes to debt management and repayment. I see my clients in and around Levin and Ōtaki.

When you need help sourcing affordable loans to help you with your debt management and payment plans, then I would love to help you out with that. I’m based in Levin and have four years experience as a Financial Mentor coaching and supporting others on their financial journey.

Most of the time people aren’t aware of other options when it comes to affordable loans so I take great pleasure in sharing that information and knowledge when it is really needed the most.

I have been a Financial Mentor for 10 years now, working in Upper Hutt and the Salvation Army, Cannons Creek, before moving to live in Kapiti. I mainly see clients in Otaki but also go to Paraparaumu and Levin offices when necessary.

I am passionate about my role, and I love it when someone I’ve been working with suddenly realises that yes, they can achieve a positive financial outcome .

Hi, I’m Bex and I have recently moved to the area. I am a qualified financial mentor and am very passionate about helping people gain financial literacy.

I have experience in a variety of different areas, but I enjoy teaching self-sustainability, advocating to help understand technical jargon and looking at ways to reach long term aspirations.

Walking beside someone to achieve their goals and seeing the relief when they realise that they did that.
